CHROMEO
A throwback to Saturday Night Fever, Chromeo gets Romeo-like on the dance floor with a casting call of beauties. On a technical level, the fast cuts and moody lighting are reminiscent of the commercial days of Tony and Ridley Scott. Enjoy. Oh, and John Travolta better take some notes on these dance moves.

All they heard was music
These are a few tracks that I've come up on in the last week. Get a good pair of headsets ready for a marathon repeat session.

ART WALK{ING}
Went to the Venice Art Walk the other night. For anyone who hasn't gone, it is a place of magic. We made our rounds through Abbot Kinney - mingling, analyzing, and gawking amongst the crowd of people. That place has a real unique vibe and every girl there is killing it. At one point in the night we ended up in some sort of medical marijuana store party. Some crazy dj was spinning his head off - guy was in his own world. Champagne, lights, and art. Everyone seemed to be acting quite strange which we discovered the reasoning behind after walking into the back room. Mounted under glass cabinets like jewelry were a variety of herbal remedies. Ended up running into some friends then we were out for the night... J'raffe

RÖYKSOPP POPS
Roykspp is probably one of the sickest electro indie DJ whatever you wanna call its coming out of Europe right now, but you probably already knew that because I don't think you live under a rock. But you may not know this little remix so put it on your iPod and go dance.

Hecq Vs Exillion: Spheres of Fury
In collaboration between Tim Brown and Christopher Hewitt, the team set out to capture the bravado and attitude of an 80's war film through a metaphorical game of squirt gun tag. Shot with the newly released Canon D7 -- a j'raffe favorite

Giant Robot

Spent a bit of time in this store called Giant Robot. They have an odd assortment of books, paintings/sketches, and toys. Not regular toys but rather toys for 'big kids' who are into flashy sneakers and AZN collectibles. The place has a good vibe as well as enough random shit to satisfy an afternoon.

Directed by Keith Schofield, this video is has been getting the attention of more than just the music industry. interesanté

+++++OBSCURE REMIXES OF POPULAR SONGS+++++
++Empire of the Sun - Walking on a dream (Sam La More 12'' remix)
++Kaskade feat. Deadmau5 - Move for me (Santiago and Bushido mix)
Thinking about becoming a DJ. This must be the key
I guess they'll make anything into a video game. Now that they've oversaturated the guitar hero brand with an endless array of spin-offs, this was apparently the next step. This is only the beginning. I predict a Tiësto or some other 'big' DJ's version coming to a future near you.

Even comes with a 'real-life' mixer and table. I wonder if I can plug this in to Serato Scratch Live? Definitely bringing this to my next set.

What has the world come to?
Shocking as it may be, this is real. I saw these girls' myspace page a couple years ago. I'm pretty sure they were in middle school. They were making shitty beats on an ibook using garageband loops, and singing into their built-in laptop mic. But like so many other tweens of the era, they had a 'kewt' myspace layout and plenty of animated GIFs to set them above the curve. Now they have a record deal? what the fuck. A perfect example of 'getting viral™'

Art Walk Anyone?
Today is the 2nd Thursday of the month, do you know what that means? Yes, tonight is the downtown LA artwalk. If you've never done this we highly recommend it. There is everything from the most unbelievable work you've ever seen to stuff that makes you want to vomit it's so bad. 10,000 people, live music, great restaurants, it's sick. And afterwards the downtown bars get sick...check out The Crocker Club or the Edison Club

Clayton's Birthday Party

Come rage with class for Claytons 20th birthday.
Starting off the night we will pre-game in the "bigger penthouse" I have rented at The Standard (DOWNTOWN)
Then we'll cruise to The Crocker Club.... The Crocker Club is actually an old bank from the 30's where we will have a section of the original vault roped off for the night. The place is super classy, which is why I am requiring that the guys attending wear suits. Don't be the douche who wears the tuxedo shirt, the actual club wont even let you in haha
When the Crocker Club closes at 2am we'll head back to the penthouse at The Standard where dj ///BONES will be spinning a set till the sun rises.
Throughout the night, Hart Houston will be taking professional pictures for everyone's enjoyment.
This nights going to be crazy and The Standard and the Crocker Club are really nice, id appreciate it if everyone could throw down $10 to help out with the cost!
If you have any questions or concerns just hit up Clayton Wolfe

When electro gets 'Real'
<
I'm kinda bummed/kinda excited that I saw this. I had a similar vision a couple months ago that involved a dramatic cinema-type video, cut 'just right'. The only difference was that my vision involved the quirky 90's hit movie, Ski School. I feel a little 'betrayed' that somebody used my idea but still excited that somebody used my idea. Watch how dangerous things get around 2:30 when the guy rollerblades down the hill.

Bonus Video : Acid Girls - The Numbers Song. Debating whether this video is genius or 'just weird'. kinda dig it tho
